Epic Endurance Events with special support from Run On Dirt Coaching present the Lost and Found 35K/20K. Designed by Peter Fain of Run On Dirt, this course will leave you breathless. From the abundant wildflowers to the Summit of 9000ft Castle Peak with 360' views of the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains, you will be inspired by the beauty and tested by the difficulty. Whether you are looking for a rugged course that will prepare you for mountain races like UTLT and Castle Peak100k or you want to discover the magic that awaits around this high alpine route, we will guide you safely on this journey. Join us to celebrate on the Sierra Crest near historic Donner Summit and Truckee. We will provide the post race food and fun that we are known for plus all the great swag! Hit the high country trails and come away with some Epic tales. We will have bib pickup, pre-race meeting, and happy hour at Tahoe Mountain Sports on Friday July 23rd.
The Lost and Found 35k/20k has something for everyone. The start/finish is at Johnson Canyon Trailhead to Donner Lake Rim Trail. Starting with some steep climbs and great views on the Donner Lake Rim Trail, past Summit Lake trails then up the Warren lake trail. Newly acquired Frog Lake area by the Truckee Donner Land Trust now gives us access to Frog Lake! An out and back section to the 1st Aid Station at Frog Lake where the 20k will turn around and go back to the start. The 35k will rejoin the Warren Lake Trail and climb up to Basin Peak along the ridge to Castle Peak followed by a very steep rocky descent to Castle Pass aid station. Continue on to the Donner Lake Rim Trail back to picturesque Summit Lake as you wind through ancient granite back to Johnson Canyon finish.
The post party will feature hot grilled food with lots of cold drinks to enjoy. Bring your family and friends and we will feed them too; no one is turned away from our famous trip-tip burritos and tacos, homemade rice, beans, guacamole and salsa!

We will have bib pickup, a pre-race meeting, and happy hour at Tahoe Mountain Sports in Truckee on Friday, July 23rd from 4-7pm.

Cancellation Policy:
We have a NO REFUND, DEFERRAL OR TRANSFER POLICY. It is very expensive and time consuming to organize and produce a trail running event. Most costs (swag, insurance, application and permit fees, emergency services, preparation time, etc.) have been incurred well in advance. Even a small percentage of runners requesting refunds, deferrals or transfers would be prohibitive. Thank you for your understanding.
