Starting in the Village at Northstar you will climb up ski runs and single-track to the summit of Mount Pluto, then drop down West Ridge to Boondocks, back to the Village then up Home Run to TNT and to Mt. Pluto again. There is 4800 feet of vertical gain in the first 12 miles! Descend 2000 feet down to the Western States Trail until you reach the Tahoe Rim Trail. The TRT is a long rolling climb around Mount Watson and Lake Watson, then cross Hwy 267 at Brockway and continue up to Mount Baldy and the turn-around. With incredible views of Lake Tahoe below, you will want a photo here! Go back on the TRT to Mt Watson Rd then Sawmill Flat Rd back into the Northstar Village finish line. Incredible views, lung busting climbs and nearly 10,700 feet of vertical gain to test you!

The 50 Mile race starts at 6:30 am.
The 50 mile race has approximately 11,000 ft of vertical gain.
There is a 15 hour cut-off for the 50 mile event.
Aid Stations will be well-stocked with fluids and a variety of foods. Warm foods at night will include chicken soup/stock, grilled cheese, and quesadillas.
Aid Stations will be well-staffed by ultra-volunteers.
